Finally! The link between Jesus and chocolate eggs has been explained to me.
thanks for setting the facts straight! And to think I thought it was a Christian rip-off of a pagan holiday
Remember – chocolate is for life, not just for easter
chilled for a couple of days. love it!
Jesus spent a weekend dead for your sins.
You forgot the part about how he also saved all the space aliens living on other planets. That’s like the BEST part! Next to the part about the chocolate.
“Which bit?” wonderful…
The news this morning reports that a suicide bomber killed 48 in Pakistan, and 60 died when a dam broke near Jakarta.
My math skills are somewhat limited, but I think that this means that god is ahead of the terrorists by a ratio of 5 to 4. Now there’s some chilling.
I have personally seen the chocolate eggs, the rest is the bit that’s questionable.
It’s a hare not a rabbit!
I don’t believe in chocolate eggs, They’re just chocolate bars melted an molded into egg form. But you can believe what you like.
Listen to act five. Hilarious.
A hair brought the eggs?
I’m keeping all my chocolate eggs until they hatch into chocolate chickens
I think that the Pagans revered the eggs and rabbits as they represented fertility. Fertility was very important in olden times as it sort of made the difference between just going hungry and actually starving.
“Now that’s just silly” Spoing!
Which bit? Oh, that’s easy, Mo. The ears. Chocolate Easter Bunnies are made in His Image and I have proof. None of the CEBs my wife bought for our kids ever had ears just like the picture of Him above.
Silly wabbit story. Who’d be gullible enough to believe in a cartoon about a talking animal? Snakes, asses, rabbits, humans, all the same thing. What? They think humans are too special to be classed as animals? So maybe they are thinking plants or fungi?.
Who’s being silly, now?
This remindes me of Dawkins’ description on Original Sin – a curious disease passed down from father to son through the semen…
“of course the story of Adam an Eve was only ever symbolic, wasn’t it? Symbolic? So, in order to impress himself, Jesus had himself tortured and executed, in vicarious punishment for a symbolic sin committed by a non-existent individual? As I said, barking mad, as well as viciously unpleasant”
Says it all really
heehehe Bunny rabbit lays chocolate egg on easter, not Jesus
Which bit indeed.

Actually if you do some research you would find that the whole Easter thing is a spring ritual to bring back the sun from the underworld. The eggs are painted red with with deer on each side of the tree of life. The rabbit is actually a wind spirit that carries the sun back and the egg is rebirth of the sun and the life of the world. It goes much deeper than that. The Christian religions just took the pagan ritual over to convert the people.
South Park explains the true story…
the chocolate eggs are a lie.
Quite so, Grouchy-one. No talking snake = no original sin = no need for the blood sacrifice=this stuff makes no sense at all=invent theology.
Just to clarify a couple of biological points:
(1) Ketil G: Bunnies don’t lay chocolate eggs – bunnies are mammals and therefore viviparous, so (if they are made of chocolate) they give birth to live chocolate bunnies.
(2) Grouchy-one: the best way to speed up the hatching of your chocolate eggs is to sit on them, or to put them under your pillow. Either of these strategies will also help keep them safe from predators.
Stephen- you are forgetting monotremes. Otherwise known as “Gods little jokes”.

Ah yes, the monotremes. When the first skins and dead specimens came to Europe they were dismissed as fakes.
If chocolate were mentioned in the Bible that would really be something. And when Christ is shown the whole world by Satan during his temptation, another opportunity to demonstrate knowledge of America was missed.

I think the chocolate eggs and bunny is a multi million dollar contract between cadbury, nesttle and the vatican .I wonder if Jesus ask for a cup of hot chocolate when he was thirsty nailed to the cross or he change water into chocolate in Canaan
