I mean, dude, have you ever really looked at your hand? Whoa, check it out, that bush is talking!
I love this site: thanks so much for all the panels of piety.

  2. Poor Richard says:

    Cels of sanity.

Written in stone, while stoned? No wonder the 11th commandment is missing.
We’ll never know if it was “No smoking” or “Smoke only to worship thy God.”

I think Author may have started something this time.

I start my day with “J&M.” Keep ’em comin’.

    Thanks author!

  6. gös says:

Shouldn’t that be “when he got” in the first panel?

  7. author says:

Oops. Yes. Thanks, gös. (And thanks for the transcription, too!)

Way back in the spinnin’ sixties, I had some students at the University of Washington who were from the middle of the state. In Sunday school, they cooked up what they called the “Walla Walla Wallop.” Offering me a hog-choker of a capsule, they assured me, “Hey, man, take this. You see God.” I declined, not at all sure I could survive such a vision.

Besides, I was the guy who COULDN’T inhale even a little bitty toke. I was much worse than Bill Clinton, because I TRIED, I REALLY DID TRY. So that phase of the revolution passed me by. But it was all about the music anyway.

cannabis is in many parts of the bible. Supposedly the “anointed one” (Jesus) referred to cannabis oil

  11. jONES. says:

wonder if that burning bush had those funny little 9 pointed leaves…

  12. Poor Richard says:

NOTICE TO ALL; Please take a moment to remember the distinguished life and career of Arthur Charles Clarke. It was he who pointed out, long ago, that the crucial struggle in evolution right now is whether or not consciousness is compatible with survival. Well…tick tick tick tick . . . . Thanks, Arthur, for all the great yarns.

JohnWrot: Your parenthetical “no offense” doesn’t make you any less offensive to the producers of this strip, since you go on to call them hypocrites and fakers. However, these pages are dedicated to being offensive. I couldn’t live without plenty of room to continue being an equal-opportunity iconoclast. So thanks for the input.

Can you give me a Christian blog site that would let a smartass like me in?

  13. Hobbes says:

Arthur C. Clark! My favorite sci-author from about 14 years old. Loved Childhood’s End and many others. Still have them. Can’t bring myself to give them away.

  14. Mythbuster says:

That’s what I’ve always thought: Moses was standing in front of a burning marijuana plant and “saw god.” That happens a lot, so I’ve heard.

  15. weasel says:

“Look, Moses, we think maybe you’ve been burning some bush…” – Jim Gaffigan

  16. Cephas Atheos says:

This explains (but doesn’t excuse) SO MUCH!
