    The Moor the merrier.

  2. Donn Cave says:

Portugal has a lot of recent immigration from Pakistan etc., thanks to not very well thought out immigration policy of a few years ago, and now a populist political faction who’d like you to believe the plan is proceeding here, to bring the caliphate back to Europe.

  3. That guy over there says:

Erm… everywhere outside Africa we’re ALL immigrants/colonialists/genocidal maniacs (check all that apply).

  4. Donn Cave says:

    Erm … “recent immigration.”

It’s a little complicated. Portugal has for years been seen as a sort of an easy living landing spot in Europe. The consequences apparently weren’t foreseen. Everyone will each have his or her own issues with it, but it’s the main factor in recent success of the right wing party, which has now started talking about a burka ban.

  5. wpkzz says:

Well, I am waiting. Spain is like… really closed mindend when it comes to colonization. In around 800 years there was very little mixing. And now they cannot have a straight conversation about their own colonies. They have a thick skin, and a thicker skull.

  6. Donn Cave says:

Colonies? Like, the Canary Islands? Galicia? Ceuta? Do they still hold anything in the western hemisphere? They had colonies there in the 19th century, but they all rebelled. Can England have a straight conversation about the US? About what.
