    This uses the evolved, natural fear of death, to influence behavior toward activity that has nothing to do with avoiding death. Usually it involves money or power for a religious organization. Therefore, it is immoral.

    Most homebrew is real ale, carbonated by live yeast in the bottle. You can artificially carbonate beer at home, but I only did that for about a year in my 30 year brewing hobby, 25 years ago.

    Now sadly I’m unable to have any alcohol due to a medication. I’ve been taking it since February. I hope it won’t be permanent. The condition (an overactive thyroid) sometimes clears itself up, over time. I see a specialist at the end of May.

    In the mean time, it’s a good thing my homebrew ages well.

    On the plus side, the overactive thyroid allowed me to lose 23 pounds. I’m now the weight I was when I was 35, nearly 30 years ago.
