  1. Tom S. Fox says:

    Woohoo! First!

  2. Dave N says:

I love the headline…’Pope not treated with absolute deference’ – shocker!!!!
I hope Dawkins and Hitchens arrest his sinister, human-right’s abusing Holiness.

  3. Tom S. Fox says:

    I apologize for posting ”first.“

  4. AchillesAndTortoise says:

    Tom, Jesus forgives you.

    I wonder where Mo’s irony meter has got to… mine’s reacting alarmingly…
    Sproing!

  5. JohnnieCanuck says:

Tom, you needn’t have apologised, but only if you can find a way to blame it on Satan and the secularisation of society. Otherwise, it is rather a childish distraction from the erudite considerations we are used to having here. Spoing!

  6. jean-françois gauthier says:

tom: according to the catholic church—and, to be fair, most evangelical churches as weel—the catch with repentance is, it has to be sincere. for instance, rush limbaugh’s okay because he repented. but that “urban” dude who’s been caught three times with weed is beyond redemption, lock him up and throw away the key! spoi i  i  i ng!

  7. MyCatIsGod says:

I work for the FCO (and no, it wasn’t me who did it!) and hoped you’d cover this today.

This is wonderful – thanks, Author 🙂

  8. grouchy-one says:

Tom – don’t worry, sooner or later you’ll be transferred to a different J&Mo strip where you will be free to offend again

  9. Wrinkly Dick says:

Well that one should hit his holiness right up his skirt!!

  10. dagwell says:

Tom, doG forgives you. Just say ten “Hail Bennies”

  11. Jerry w says:

    @Wrinkly Dick,

If does hit his holiness right up his skirt, I hope the altar boy has time to get out of the way first.

  12. Richard P says:

The caricature of a seemingly labotomised Jesus is priceless. I always did see a certain symmetry between organised religion and frankenstein’s monster. And that poor Mo, being harangued by Jesus to the point where he had to put a hot water bottle on his head. Keep up the good work.

  13. Blondie says:

Oh, don’t even go there…! ‘Insulting’ the pope is in no way comparable as feeling up young boys and girls genitals, author!

Which is probably kinda the point.

  14. Necessary Evil says:

I find the pope’s cult’s views on contraception, abortion and homosexuality highly offensive. I demand an immediate apology. How dare he and his acolytes go round propounding views that are anathema to right-thinking people everywhere! I demand that whoever tried to censor the views of a worthy Foreign Office official by having him moved to a different department should immediately be hauled to account. The Foreign Office exists to promote the interests of British people through diplomacy, which should be robust when dealing with obstinate people with primitive views. I thank the Foreign Office for the noble way it has drawn our attention to the appalling practices of this cult and the damaging influence it is having on society.

  15. Nassar Ben Houdja says:

Dick Dawlkins arrest anyone? How ever can he take the time away from his travelling atheist evangelical corporate crusade? Now did deep into your pockets and send money, folding money, not that chump change politicians talk about. Need your cash to spread the word that there is nothing. Carbon credit discount offered for suitable donation.

  16. JoJo says:

Shaddup bitches. This makes me an official prophet… 😛

  17. Didac says:

Satan and Secularisation of the Society!!! There is no such a thing as society!

  18. nina says:

Religion really is it’s own worst enemy.

the proponents are so oblivious to the obvious that I think my irony metre has flatlined.

  19. Marc says:

Sometimes other sacred texts can provide knowledge or insight. On page 00036 of the ‘Principia Discordia’ is this item – “A ‘Pope’ is someone who is not under the authority of the authorities”

    Hail Eris

  20. Chiaroscuro says:

Spoiiing!!! Clearly they give up on buying Irony meters(tm).

  21. Prior Aelred says:

I am so totally pissed about Cardinal Law!
