Yup. Somewhere, Tom Lehrer is in a fetal possition, sobbing his little eyes out.

J&M’s TV seems mighty old-school, given that J is on a MacBook and M is using some kind of wireless games controller.

Too incensed about the topic prompting this episode to make any comment on the actual content.

  5. Michael says:

    Bring back the irony meter!

  6. leweclectic666 says:

A case of the fox guarding the chicken coop…Hmmmm. Seems this says more about the U.N. than it does about Saudi Arabia. Then again maybe they will change their ways, but I’m not going to hold my breath on it.

  7. John67 says:

The main problem seems to be not Saudi Arabia per se, but the UN procedure for appointing countries to the Human Rights Council. More: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/09/22/why-is-saudi-arabia-heading-the-u-n-human-rights-council.html

  9. Robert+Andrews says:

“Maybe it’ll encourage then to improve their record”.

Give your dog a treat every time it pees on the carpet and I bet it will continue to do so. Saudi Arabia is going to cruxify and then behead a man for disrespecting the Qu’ran.

    Here’s the story: http://freethinker.co.uk/2015/03/09/barbarism-exposed-saudis-are-dismayed

  10. JDS says:

Makes it hard to take the UN seriously with batshit stuff like that. It is amusing how little attention left wing media pays to the hypocrisy.

  11. Robert+Andrews says:

That was the wrong link. Here’s the one I meant to post.

K+P+Spong and Matt. You beat me to it. Yes, its clear now that Philip K. Dick was right all along. This is a huge hidden camera show and everyone else is in on the joke. Very amusing everyone. You got me. But jokes over now.

  13. And overtime pay for the mutaween.

  14. Nassar+Ben+Houdja says:

The u.n is not very cool
    Actually, it tends to drool
    It’s pompous with attitudes
    Made of ridiculous platitudes
That make islam the tool of a fool.

  15. Well, Pat Condell said it five years ago and I have nothing to add.
    http://www.patcondell.net/human-rights-travesty/
The situation does not seem to be improving, though I did hear something fairly recently about women now being allowed to ride bicycles in Saudi Arabia, provided they have a male escort and only ride in parks and recreational areas. This from 2013. http://world.time.com/2013/04/03/saudi-women-can-now-ride-bicycles-in-public-kind-of/
My irony meter has been beyond repair for years now.

  16. Michael says:

Raif Badawi still has 950 lashes left on his sentence and and no outlook of being released. His crimes were “insulting Islam” and “undermining the regime and officials” by blogging about conditions in Saudi Arabia.

  17. Miranda Hale says:

Love this πŸ™‚ I literally lol’d. Perfect. xx

  18. Once upon a time, it seems like centuries ago, I had some respect for the UN, or at least, in its raison dΓ©tre. No more.

  19. cat-dancing says:

Mr. Harmless, thank you for the lovely Mr. Condell. πŸ™‚
Try this one. It is very funny. Like a vocal J&M.net only louder. πŸ™‚

  20. John67 says:

cat-dancing Great video. Pat Condell has become one of my favourite people(I saved that video to my “Islam” folder).

  21. Humans+Eh! says:

There has been a lot/some/a few posts re: irony meters lately, esp write off sproingers and I was prompted to post this.

I found some absurdium in my shed and used it to successfully refurbish my irony meter which sproinged itself to bits at this intelligence insulting rimming of SA by the UN.

As we have slipped through the looking glass and idiocy reigns I suggest that all J&M fans recalibrate their irony meters to max level crazy (yes!) and add as much absurdium to the wtf cache as it will take.

This will strengthen your meter which will give a satisfying appropriate ‘sproing’ for future J&M ironies without overloading the muthaboard and ruining your meter.

Oh! and as always my compliments to ‘The Author’ on another masterpiece.

  22. Kevin Gregg says:

Just now I discovered Jesus & Mo. What a great humor concept! I gotta find out more! And I see that you are depicting Mo. Whoa! That takes testicles. (You call him Mo, but no one will be fooled, that’s fo sho.)

  23. white+squirrel says:

1 Mr Condell is amusing in what he says and often does so, not sure that his underlying UKIP mentality is as funny.

2 ‘Paternity leave’ for Arabia probably means something ‘licence to father many children’

  24. HaggisForBrains says:

Kevin Gregg – Author is safe, Mo is just a body double. Go back and have a look at cartoon no.1 (Click “First” under the fourth box). Then work your way forward to check out all the others. As well as a good laugh, you’ll eventually understand the references to irony meters and spoing. Or you could enter “spoing” in the search box, top left.

  25. Abz says:

Apple and Guinness? Has Author started doing product placement?
Next week we’ll see J in speedos and Mo down at Homebase buying a Chefs Pal (c)

Reference to Mr Condell (whose dry humour I find to my taste); when I “google” ‘Pat Condell UKIP’ there are 0 hits. He has pronounced his liking for some of their politic, and at least once proposed that people should vote for them as thumbs down to the establishment. But in some early videos he proclaimed himself a liberal. I think he is probably a floating voter who keeps his party preferences to himself.

  27. white+squirrel says:

I watch and enjoy Mr Condell’s rants too JohnM
I did not say they were unfunny nor did I say that he is or was a member of UKIP

I said that his underlying ethos/mentality is that of UKIP

Mo and Moses also proclaimed themselves to be liberal in the early chapters of their books, but it is the later chapters that matter

  28. helenahandbasket says:

JohnM. Pat Condell actively campaigned for UKIP and makes little secret of the fact.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5vDTbxnMXc
Now, as various folk have argued (Sam Harris, Nick Cohen etc) the fact that the left has abandoned responsibility for standing up for liberal values may well have handed propaganda victories to the right. I think Condell is wrong about Europe (and some other stuff) but I am happy to have some diversity in public forums. Plus, I agree with Jerry Sadowitz–being offended by a joke is the tax you pay on the other ones you enjoy. I enjoy listening to Condell even though I frequently disagree with him.

    and statutory tea-breaks for floggers

Or voluntary flogging at tea breaks?

  30. JohnM says:

    Helenahandbasket

Err.. If Pat Condell actively campaigned for UKIP in the last election, it wasn’t apparent in the video you linked to. He actually spent most of the video lambasting the establishment political machine, and a good part of the rest telling us to vote for one of the smaller parties – in order to upset that machine..

UKIP was mentioned by name just the once, when he said that was who he would be voting for, owing to his belief in the inutility of the EU. It is also rather odd that this particular video is not on the ‘official’ Pat Condell Godless Comedy site. There is a pre-election rant there, but it contains no reference to UKIP at all. All a bit odd, to say the least.
