the ‘well said’ was the best! well done!

  2. Marc says:

Did you inadverdently misspell “the idiocy?”

  3. Brian says:

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence! I love when religious people try to puzzle out faith logically. They either need to use logic and become atheist or just go ahead and have faith in something both unseen and irrational.

  4. CynthiaGee says:

Brian, regarding logic, read C.S. Lewis’s book, “Mere Christianity”.

  5. MrGronk says:

That’s why I prefer Greek mythology, which doesn’t tie itself up in theological knots. Homer’s heros have a totally sucky time, and you don’t find them expecting Zeus to be benign …
remember, folks: The Odyssey is not theodicy.

  6. Jonathan says:

MrGronk: It’s after reading puns like that when I really wish there was a hell… You know where you belong.. :-P

  7. author says:

I thought it was rather good!

  8. Jonathan says:

  9. AliensExist says:

I have been mastering this awesome impression of God. You should hear it in person some time, but for now, a keyed version will have to do. It goes like this:

“I am the greatest guitarist to ever live. Don’t ask me to play a tune to prove it, though, I simply demand that you have faith that I am simply unreal at the guitar. Oh, and by the way, you’ll suffer eternally if you don’t believe me, but I still love you more than is possible.”

    Why the Americanisms?

  11. They started out as Americanisms, but they are no longer confined to that country. I’d guess at Essex, myself.
