It’s very sad to see people wracked by self-hatred denying their true identity. It shows how damaging it is for people to condemn others for inclinations and behavior that harms no-one.
Sylvia, I’m not so sure he has been stoning himself (unless you meant chemically, “godspeed”). The most successful preachers are immune to biblical delusion. As Pope Leo X said, “What profit has not that fable of Christ brought us!” No need to feel sorry for the perfidious, amoral hypocrite. No doubt he’ll try the “pity poor me” dissimulation on his flock. The formula has worked for so many before him. Bakker, Swaggart et al.
Ted Haggard (the “meth and manass” pastor in question here) met Prof. Richard Dawkins for the documentary “Root of all evil”. Dawkins describes the meeting as “disconcerting”.
i had no idea it was Ted Haggard the homocrite(homosexual + hypocrite=im so fucking clever!). i watched that doc, root of all evil?, it was one of the best ive seen on religious fallacies, though too short and obviously biased (not to me though, I’m a card carrying atheist and agreed with it 100%).
“You called my people monkeys!”
-Ted Haggard (on evolution)
And even if you give it to a theist, they too will get this benefit of being an atheist. Also, one doesn’t have to fear losing the card, as its effect is permanent.

Oh, I think he *has* been stoning himself, his whole life. Sad. Especially sad since the chances of him stepping out of the closet are pretty slim.
