   I could have thought of that! I also had the idea of giving the priests gift certificates to Toys R Us so they could see how to properly interact with children.

   I have always been puzzled by the whole “Grab the attention of the omniscient” element of religion.
   Gawd is sitting up there dispensing justice: “Right then, a plague on all the gays I created, a Tsumani to make em sit up and take notice and… what’s that you say? You’d like a pony for Christmas? Have you been a good girl? Ok then…”
   It’s a bit bloody self-important isn’t it? The creator of the whole fucking universe has to stop what she is doing to listen to our pitiful whinges!

    dunno if God would actually step in and put a stop to it anyway… I don’t think I ever actually saw “thou shalt not rape a 7 year old boy” anywhere in the bible…

    But I think the pope’s onto something… As long as they could just goof around and rape some boys and do some chores, it was a wonderful life for these pedophiles… But if they actually have to be actively religious to be involved with this religion it might just be too much trouble.

    Though I think mandatory castration for priests would be another way to go. Something appealing about a bunch of eunichs running around in their robes praying and chanting and not raping boys…

    Still glad I’m an athiest though…

    Homosexuality has no connection with pedophilia. It’s ridiculous: no homosexuals allowed in the church. Yay, no pedophilia. The solution is punishing those guilty, and bringing in stricter controls. Not blaming and targeting a single group.

    The bishop of Tenerife (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenerife) said recently that some underage kids are actually inciting the priests into sexual relationships.

    This was during a recorded interview, so no denial of what he said. The actual words, no matter what he meant, are loud and clear. They, the priests, are the victims. As usual, christians pretending to be the victims.

    Agreed! Another good cure might be for the Church to openly encourage priests, as well as nuns, to concentrate on just “loving” each other. If any nuns get this message and agree, I’d sure love to watch.

    Now a daze, the Hasidic Jews are calling the Mare or NYC and the govenator of NY anti Semites for trying to stop the spread of a deadly contagious disease in their communities. Trying to save Jewish lives in anti Semantic?
