I’ve always assumed the bar scenes are viewed out of the barmaids eyes, so the speech bubble comes from her mouth which is just below her eyes.
Since “god” is clearly a man made construct of little consequence to anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size, it would be hard to quantify the ficticious qualia that is assigned to the specific “god” framework.
If I were in charge of the afterlife, it would be one in which, instead people of getting what they hoped they’d earned they’d get what the fear they deserve.
