Aye. Anybody believing the bollocks that Mo invented in a cave with Absolute certainty, should , with Absolute certainty, be considered a highly dangerous individual. If 1984’s dystopian Rules were executed, how many Muslims could you lock up for harbouring murderous thoughts? At least 50% ?
I’ve come across similar disbelief from Christians about my disbelief. I’ve heard numerous times that, apparently, I do still believe in their god – but I hate him, or want to be free to sin. Or the perennial favourite that I worship the devil.
@M27Holts, I imagine everyone of a certain age has had murderous thoughts. However, it might be threading the semantic needles of murder, assassination, killing in war or other state-sanctioned actions, justifiable homicide, with a lot of variants on what constitutes justifiable.
If somebody harmed my wife, 2 daughters in Law or my 2 Grandchildren, I would consider a slow murder when in hot blood, knowing that the law will treat the perpetrators as if they were royalty with all mod cons and a life better than those poor souls sleeping rough on the streets…when murdering scum are treated as such with a lifetime of miserable torture perhaps victims of serious crime might feel that Justice is done…
As best as I can make out, Islamic apostasy is ill defined and treated in a variety of ways. Ranging from “so what”, to “let’s kill everyone, since not joining up with us jihadis indicates apostasy.” In many areas, the government justice system has nothing to do with it, but you could still be killed by a mob.
