    You have no free speech in the west and therefore the only way to interpret the cartoons is take them as an insult. If you did have free speech, then you won’t mind publishing cartoons denying the holocaust or publish anti-semite cartoons.

    @Blablabla – 1) It is perfectly legal to publish holocaust-denying cartoons where I’m from – as it should be.
    2) I don’t think you know what the word ‘therefore’ means.

    Although I agree with your view it must be pointed out that holocaust denial is illegal in various European countries. I’m a firm believer in questioning everything & can’t help but feel the prohibition of discussion on these issues is counterproductive.

    “Free speech” or “freedom of expression” doesn’t mean “anarchy of expression”.
    It’s not a fooferall.
    Yelling “fire” in a crowded movie theatre is not part of free speech.
    Lying under oath isn’t part of free speech.
    Neither is false advertising, libel, or hate crimes.
    There is a world of difference between suppressing Holocaust deniers in certain forums, and burning an embassy because at one time your legendary figurehead was deemed too awesome to be represented as per a portion of your followers.

    Fenchurch, the USAliens decided that burning their flag as part of a protest is “free speech” as guaranteed under their Constitution and its Amendments.
    Flag, house, embassy, books, people. Logically they should all be treated equally.
