Ivan Payne raped several children, when as an adult one of these children approached the church to "deal with" the issue, (this is Ireland forget about prosecuting the Catholic Church through the police), he was offered money, noow curiously enough the child that was raped was vulnerable and the adult who had been raped as a child had fucked up his life to that point, so Cardinal Desmond Connell loaned Ivan Payne the money to pay off the victim of his indescretion, he was then moved out of the parish he was in to another parish where he had a minstry over children. As I write this we are expecting the release of the report of another inquiry into the coverup of abuse by senior hierarchy. it won't contain anywhere near as many media-worthy stories as those of the Ryan report, however the coruption it will uncover at the highest levels of the catholic church in Ireland will disgust people to a much greater degree.
